My Boston Terrier is now on You Tube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rt2V_0_6I6U
Here is the link to see the video.  What have I become?  I am using all these new tools to show off my dog and to get people linked to my website http://www.barksncratesnmore.com.
And what a better actor to use than my own sweet little Peanut.  I tried getting him in his Christmas get up but everytime he sees it in my hand, he runs- fast.

He belongs to Dogster.com and made the November December calendar for Bostonsrus.ing

All of these applications are soooo much fun.  You should check them out.
Merry Christmas

I really am crazy about Boston Terriers

So this morning I stopped for gas and a big sand truck was in the parking lot and when I looked up there was a little Boston in the front seat waiting for his owner.  The owner was inside getting coffee so being the lover of Boston's that I am, I kept talking to the little guy and he kept barking at me.  When the owner came out, I told him I loved his little dog becaue I just love that breed.  He said his little guy was 6 years old, I told him mine was 3 years old.  Either way- I really do love Boston Terriers.

All my children contd

The next dog I remember in my life was a Pekingnese.  My dad brought him home from work one day.  Dad worked for a company that worked in films on reels.  Not the usual 16 mm but the films that the movie theatres played.  We used to see all kinds of movies at home- lots of Sandra Dee,Bobby Darin, a few Elvis movies- anyway, this dog had supposedly been owned by Greer Garson and her movie career made it difficult to take care of a dog.  So the folks my dad worked for mentioned him to Ms Garson and next thing you know we are the proud owners of Mr Florence Alan Yen.  This dog was so cute with his curly tail.  The only problem was that he was not very friendly. I dont think he was used to being with children so he spent most of the first night under the coffee table.  He seemed happier when he was outside so this probably very expensive dog became an outside dog.  When he was around my family, he became very friendly and played with us and let us pet him all the time.  However, when company came over, they couldn't go outside unless one of us went with them because Mr. Yen would growl and snap at them.  I loved that dog!!!
I really don't remember what happened to him.  My parents didnt give him to someone else or send him off to the pound.  I just remember that he didnt move with us to our new house.  He must have been one of the few dogs that died of old age.  He wasnt so young when we got him but it was fun to tell people this dog used to belong to a famous actress named  Greer Garson.  Most kids my age just replied "Who?"

All my children (dogs)

You never realize how many pets you can go through over the years but I have been through quite a few.
From the time I was a little girl, we had a German Shepherd names Rusty.  I loved that dog but he liked to play rough.  He and I were playing outside one day near the clothes line.  My mother had just put the bed sheets out on the line to dry.  So I decided to play hide and seek with my dog.  It was so much fun until we got tangled in one of the bed sheets and he grabbed hold of the end of it and ripped it right in half.  Of course we both got in trouble but my mother said one more time and that dog was going to go! Go where? I was only about 6 years old so where could that dog go anyway? It was time for me to get all my "shots" before I started school. Back in my day, we had to have the small pox shot which made a scab on your left arm.  I was on the back porch when Rusty saw me.  He was so excited that he jumped up to lick my face and pulled the scab off of my arm. Needless to say, that was it. Now the dog had to go.  I didn't know where he was going until a man in a white truck came to the door to take him away.  I must have cried for days but it did not bring Rusty back.  To this day, I am a believer that once you get a dog, it stays until you or the dog dies.

My next blog will be about the 2nd dog in my life.     Mr. Yen

I love my pets

I have had a lot of dogs in my life. One was a Dalmation named Sparky. It was not my idea to buy this dog but my kids fell in love with him because he was acting so cute and was the biggest of all the dogs in the litter. He got sick on the way home and threw up on my son. When we got him home, he would run and chase and play. Then night time fell. All I heard was "Mom, the dog wont stop whining and I can't sleep." So I finally did what I said I would not and placed the puppy in bed with me. He cuddled up and laid his head across my neck so he could feel my heart beat through my throat. Since he was the largest of the pups, of course he became a very large dog at maturity.
When he was two, I had a 105 lb. dog trying to sleep with his head on my throat. It was a lot of fun! He had to be trained to sleep on the floor at the end of the bed. As this dog aged, we began to think he could understand every word we said. That Sparky could look at you and do what you needed done with no complaints. Just a little loving was required on occasion. He was always by my side and loved to ride in the car. I came home one day when he was about 12 years old and he would not walk. He just sat and Whimpered. I rushed him to the emergency vet and found he had a tumor in his bladder that his own vet had not detected and it had caused his bladder to burst. There was no way to repair that damage and he had to be put down. I cried and blamed my self for his pain. That was about 4 years ago and I still miss him. He wasn't much of a guard dog because if someone had broken into the house, we would have to wake him up to bark! I said I would never have another inside dog and then a friend offered me a Boston Terrier pup that just had so much energy he was upsetting her Shit Tzu. I went to her house to look at him and immediately fell in love. This dog is full of energy, laughs and is fairly easy to train. He watches the Dog Whisperer with me as well as DogTown and Dog U(Animal Planet and National Geographic) So because I went crazy for this dog, I have now become his pet. He was named Peanut and because he was so cute, we kept that name. I always want to get him things so I started a web store called http://www.barksncratesnmore.com
This was supposed to be an easy project but believe me, this took months to get going and I have paid a company lots of cash to help. I am very disappointed because they just told me how to set up the web site and didn't do it for me. With the money I paid them, I should be rolling in dough by now but to my disapointment, nothing has happened yet.
If you get a chance visit my page at www.barksncratesnmore.com. I think it is really cute.
Let me know your views so I can make adjustments or do whatever is necessary to make it a hit.
